The community
on State Street has incredible tolerance for different life styles. It's like
a village where everybody is accepted. The variety of people there is amazing.
They are homely, pretty, dumb, smart, old, young, ex convicts, alcoholic, drug
addicted, and every variety of personality. There are people with wheelchairs,
walkers, and canes. One person walks around having conversations with invisible
friends. There is a deaf man who speaks so loudly that it feels like he's yelling
at you. All are part of, and accepted in, this village.
