Most Family members come to State Street for companionship. These are very often folks who are starved for both social contact and the touch of another human being. There is a lot of hugging, sitting in large groups, and grooming each other. They have a kind of innocence and decency about them. They all seem like children hoping for praise but expecting abuse instead.
