These animals are very important to the homeless people. They offer them companionship, warmth, and protection. They are their best and most constant friends. I think that if I were living on the street I would want a big dog. I would feel a lot safer knowing that I had a good friend, with big teeth, close to me at all times.
         The dogs probably eat better than their masters do. The humans eat a lot of junk food and the dogs eat only the best dog food. I've seen people panhandle, something most of them hate to do, just long enough to get money to buy food for their dogs.
