This child
spends most of her time with her mother and is held, cuddled, played with,
and parented by dozens of other people. She's intelligent and curious,
and she wasn't the least little bit scared of the strange man with the
camera.
I think of the families
I see in supermarkets and department stores and how refreshing it is to
come upon a healthy family. It seems like most families have snarling
adults and whiny, sulking children.
You don't see dysfunctional
families on State Street. It's really true; you just don't see unhappy
kids. |
