This man kept screaming "I didn't do anything, I didn't do anything, let me go, let me alone, I didn't do anything". When the police tried to take him in for drunkenness he resisted arrest. He fought like a crazy person. Ultimately it took six officers to truss him up and put him in the car. The crowd of street people booed and yelled at the police and it looked to me as though they were close to insurrection. Finally they drove their prisoner away leaving the crowd feeling angry and bitter.
        I've watched a number of people get arrested for drunkenness. The police don't even try to reason with them, they just brutally attack. They throw them face down, cuff their hands behind them, and haul them away. It's really quite efficient.
